Our team

  • Laura Vantellini

    Co-founder, Managing Director & Instructor

    Laura has been diving since 2002 and has completed around 1,000 dives worldwide. As a S.U.B. Dive Instructor* and PADI Divemaster, she guides divers through their training in a structured, calm manner and with a great deal of personal attention – from the first "bubbles" to ambitious advanced divers.

    She puts people first. She communicates clearly, is customer-focused, and exudes positive energy. Her experience in the tech industry brings additional structure, clarity, and a "let's do it" mentality to the Frankfurt Dive Center.

    Fun fact: Laura finds four-leaf clovers everywhere—unfortunately, never underwater. And she loves to travel in style both above and below the water.

  • Robert Billau

    Store Director & Instructor

    Robert started snorkeling at the age of six and learned scuba diving in the Navy at the age of 20. Since then, he has completed well over 8,000 dives and brings a wealth of experience in training and organization to the table.

    As Store Director, he ensures structure and professionalism at the Frankfurt Dive Center. Underwater, he particularly enjoys drift diving and challenging diving sites – preferably from a safari boat.

    Fun fact: His favorite spots are Blue Corner (Palau) and Elphinstone in the Red Sea – true classics for fans of currents and large fish.

  • Andi Lebéus

    Tec Instructor

    Andi has been diving since 1986. His extensive experience in technical diving makes him a calm and methodical instructor—even in challenging situations.

    He combines precision with composure and attaches great importance to clean processes and a thorough understanding of the equipment.

    Fun fact: Andi has spent more time underwater than many people have spent at the gym.

    Gabi Goetze

    Instructor

    Gabi has been diving since 2004 and has been a diving instructor since 2009. With over 1,000 dives under her belt, she brings a wealth of experience and calmness to every training session. She particularly enjoys accompanying beginners on their first breaths underwater, creating a relaxed, trusting atmosphere.

    For them, diving means escaping everyday life and consciously experiencing the underwater world—preferably with a camera in hand, searching for small, extraordinary creatures.

    Fun fact: Gabi often spends more time than planned underwater with her camera, searching for the smallest and rarest subjects.

    Patrik Debus

    Instructor

    Patrik has been diving in cold and warm water since 2012, using backmount, sidemount, and dry suits. He has been an active diving instructor since 2021 and places particular emphasis on rescue skills, responsibility, and clean technique in his training.

    In addition to teaching, his great passion is underwater photography. He loves capturing special moments underwater—whether in Egypt, the Maldives, or Indonesia—and brings this trained eye for detail to his courses.

    Fun fact: Patrik doesn't particularly like swimming in water where he can't see what's below him.

    Michael Hiob

    Instructor

    Michael began diving in the Maldives in 1996 and has been a professional since 2002. With over 1,000 dives in warm waters around the world, he brings a wealth of international experience to his teaching.

    His teaching style is calm, structured, and practical. He emphasizes clean technique, good buoyancy control, and solid fundamentals—whether in beginner or advanced courses.

    Fun fact: Michael feels particularly at home in tropical waters—preferably in the Maldives.

    Silke Pierson

    Instructor

    Silke dives with great sensitivity and attention to detail. When diving privately, she loves "slow diving" – consciously and calmly exploring the small, often bizarre underwater world. At the same time, she is equally fascinated by large fish such as manta rays and sharks.

    In her training, she places great importance on educating responsible and independent divers—with humor, clarity, and seriousness when it comes to safety and nature conservation.

    Fun fact: Silke's most memorable diving moments occur when sea creatures voluntarily seek her company—whether turtles or octopuses.

    Stefan von Mutius

    Instructor

    Stefan has been diving since 1997 and has been a diving instructor since 2016. He completed his training together with Silke – since then, the two have been teaching courses together regularly and complement each other perfectly.

    He brings experience from German lakes as well as international diving areas such as Palau, Australia, Bali, and Thailand. His passion is macro photography and close observation.

    Fun fact: Stefan can spend an hour looking at a single coral block—because he keeps discovering new details.
