FAQ
-
With us, you can earn your scuba certification at a pace that suits you: as a compact course over two weekends if you want to get it done quickly, or as a standard course over four to five weekends if you’d like to take your time. Both formats lead to the same internationally recognized certification.
-
Our Open Water Diver course starts at €499. This includes your entire training, from the theory to your final open-water dive. Just let us know which format and date you're interested in—and we'll give you the exact price.
-
No. The Open Water Diver course is strictly for beginners—you don’t need any prior diving experience. The only important thing is that you feel comfortable in the water and can swim safely. We’ll teach you everything else step by step, first in the pool and then in open water.
-
You should be able to swim confidently and comfortably—but competitive swimming isn't necessary. If you feel comfortable in the water, we'll teach you everything else you need to know.
-
You can take the Open Water Diver course starting at age 14. For younger children ages 8 and up, we offer our Junior Diver program, which introduces them to diving in an age-appropriate way.
-
Before the course, you’ll fill out a short health questionnaire. If you answer “Yes” to certain questions, you’ll need a medical certificate of fitness for diving before your first dive. If you’re unsure, we’d be happy to advise you—just contact us in advance.
-
The short answer is yes. We provide training through S.U.B. International—an ISO-certified, internationally recognized certification system. Your diving certification is recognized worldwide, just like PADI or SSI. The difference lies in the training system, not in the validity of your certification.
-
Everything you need for your training: the complete theory course with S.U.B. learning materials, pool training, all open-water dives (including lake fees), all rental equipment, and your internationally recognized certification. You just need to bring your own personal ABC gear (mask, snorkel, fins, booties) or purchase it from us at a 20% discount.
-
For the course, we’ll provide you with all the diving gear you need—from the regulator to the wetsuit. The only thing you’ll need to bring is your own ABC gear: mask, snorkel, fins, and booties. For hygiene and fit reasons, you should own your own anyway—as a course participant, you’ll get a 20% discount on them from us and can get personalized advice right in the store.
-
The training begins at the swimming pool, where you'll learn all the exercises at your own pace. We do the open-water dives at lakes in the Rhine-Main region—so you won't have to travel far to get your diving certification.
-
You'll find us in the heart of Frankfurt-Schwanheim, at Vogesenstraße 12C. You can easily park at the rear entrance at Am Kirchholz 12. Feel free to stop by—we'll be happy to advise you in person about classes, schedules, and equipment.
-
After completing the Open Water Diver course, you can dive with a buddy to a depth of 20 meters anywhere in the world. If you want to dive deeper, longer, or pursue more specialized dives, you can continue with the Advanced Open Water Diver course and our specialty courses—such as Deep, Nitrox, or Dry Suit. And if you want to put together your own gear, we’ll give you personalized advice in the store.
Still unsure? Let's talk in person. Not quite sure if the course is right for you? Or would you prefer to book in person at the store?
No problem.
We are happy to advise you by phone or in person at the Frankfurt Dive Center. You can also book and pay for the course in person at the store.
