The Frankfurt Dive Center is located in Frankfurt-Schwanheim, in the southwestern part of the city between the Main River, Schwanheimer Wald, and the industrial area. It spans 500 square meters and features a shop, rental service, equipment service, its own fill station, and training rooms.

In practical terms, this means: You drive right up to the door, unload your gear without having to carry it halfway across town, and park the car right next to the house. Anyone who’s ever had to lug two bottles and a wet wetsuit three blocks down the street knows why this is a big plus.

And there’s plenty going on all around: restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and shops are all within walking distance, and right across the street is what we consider to be Frankfurt’s best ice cream shop. If you’re dropping your child off for a class, you don’t have to sit in the car the whole time—and after diving, you rarely get back in the car right away.

By car

The fastest route is via the A5. From the highway, head toward Frankfurt-Schwanheim and continue along Schwanheimer Bahnstraße into Schwanheim, where Vogesenstraße is located. From the north via the A5, from the south also via the A5, and from the east usually via the A3 and the A5.
If you’re coming from within the city, the route along the Main River is usually the more relaxed option: from Sachsenhausen and Niederrad along the banks of the Main toward Schwanheim, avoiding downtown traffic and long lines of traffic lights.
Frankfurt Airport is right in the neighborhood—for anyone who wants to combine a diving trip with a final gear check or a tank fill, it’s a short detour.

Directions from Frankfurt

From downtown (Main Station, Bahnhofsviertel, Westend): cross the Main and follow the riverbank toward the southwest. Allow 15 to 20 minutes; it’s usually shorter outside of rush hour.
From Sachsenhausen: the shortest route of all. Follow the Main riverbank through Niederrad to Schwanheim—15 to 20 minutes.
From Niederrad: you’re practically a neighbor. Depending on your exact location, 10 to 15 minutes.
From Höchst: cross the Main Bridge directly to Schwanheim. Even though it’s a short distance as the crow flies, plan on 15 to 20 minutes because the bridge is the bottleneck.
From Bockenheim: take the A5 or head west past downtown toward Schwanheim—20 to 25 minutes.
From Griesheim, Goldstein, and Nied, you’ll be here in just over ten minutes.

Directions from the Rhine-Main Area

These travel times apply under normal traffic conditions—during rush hour on the A5 and around the Frankfurter Kreuz, you should allow for a bit more time.
Offenbach: about half an hour, depending on the route—via the A661 and the southern outskirts or along the Main River.
Rüsselsheim: about half an hour eastward, via the federal highway along the Main River or the highway.
Hanau: a little over half an hour via the highway toward the Frankfurter Kreuz and continuing on the A5.
Bad Homburg: a little over half an hour via the A5 without passing through any towns.
Wiesbaden and Mainz: Allow about 35 to 45 minutes via the highway toward Frankfurt.
Darmstadt: About 35 to 45 minutes, mostly on the A5 heading north.
Since we’re located right off the A5, many course participants from the region can reach us faster than they can get to their own city centers.

Parking

Right next to the building, free of charge. No parking disc, no parking meter, no residential zone, no double parking. You drive up, park, and unload.
This is more important for a dive center than it sounds. A full set of gear can easily weigh 25 kilos, plus the tanks that need refilling. Whether you’re coming to refill tanks, for maintenance, for a course, or to rent equipment, you’ll always have something to carry. At our center, it’s just a few meters.
For courses that include a trip to a lake afterward, we also meet here—carpool arrangements usually work out on their own in the parking lot.

By bus and train

Schwanheim is connected to downtown Frankfurt and Frankfurt-Höchst by tram and bus. From the S-Bahn stations in Höchst and Niederrad, you can continue by bus; from downtown, the tram runs to Schwanheim.
To be honest: For a trial dive or a theory session, this isn’t a problem at all. If you’re transporting a full set of gear or having tanks filled, the car is the better choice. The most reliable way to find current schedules is through the RMV information service—if you’re unsure, give us a call, and we’ll tell you which stop works best for you.
For those coming by bike: Schwanheim is located along the Mainuferweg. From Sachsenhausen and Höchst, it’s a nice, flat route.

You don’t need to bring anything or make an appointment to stop by. If you’d like advice, just come by during opening hours—early afternoons on weekdays are the quietest times for in-depth consultations; Saturdays tend to be busier.
